Look at a tree in your yard or google a tree so you have a reference. Capture the branches, trunk & roots (versions of a cylinder) using shading techniques.

Draw your hand or someone else's by capturing the contour line that defines the hand and apply shading to capture form.

#10 pile of books
Take a pile of books and light them dynamically. Using line, shadows and shading capturing details of the books. Show cast shadows to create depth.
